Tomofumi Kitamura is an associate professor of international law at the University of Tokyo (Japan). Before taking up the current position in April 2016, he was an associate professor at the Tokyo Metropolitan University (Japan) (2011-2016). He received his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees from the University of Tokyo. His areas of research include international trade law, law of treaties, state responsibility, and international dispute settlement.
